Along with the development of technology in the field of refrigeration or cooling provides many advantages for human needs. Humans use a refrigeration system for the food storage and distribution industry, so that food ingredients stored with the refrigeration system can maintain their quality and freshness for several weeks or months until they are needed to be distributed to consumers. One of them is cold storage, which is a facility that is often used to store agricultural and fishery products, medicines, and industrial needs. Refrigeration technology which is also very important, namely air conditioning, this technology has become a primary need for us in daily life, ranging from housing, offices, vehicles, to development centers definitely need this technology.

 

Considering the large role of the refrigeration system in the food storage and air conditioning industry, the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering who wants to explore the field of refrigeration has the potential to develop refrigeration technology in the future. So that this can be achieved, it is necessary to carry out learning activities in the laboratory, so that students can observe directly the symptoms that occur in the experiment and not only learn according to theory.
