An industrial visit to industrial plantation product processing technology has been carried out by FT-USU Mechanical Engineering students. This visit was carried out at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV in Kebun Pabatu and was accompanied directly by the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering FT-USU, Mr. Dr. Ir. M. Sabri, MT. IPM. Asean Eng., this activity was held to add insight to the Mechanical Engineering students of the Universitas Sumatera Utara about the processing and production of plantation products which are located in the North Sumatra region which we know that the province of North Sumatra is the 3rd largest oil palm plantation area in Indonesia. The area of oil palm plantations in North Sumatra is estimated to reach 1,773,049 hectares in 2019. This area has increased significantly compared to 2016, which only reached 1,342,523 hectares.

On this occasion, the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering FT-USU, Mr. Dr. Ir. M. Sabri, MT. IPM. Asean Eng. gave a plaque to PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV as a memento or a form of gratitude for the cooperation for the industrial visit of plantation product processing technology of FT-USU Mechanical Engineering students.
