On Wednesday, February 20, 2019 North Sumatra University engineering faculty organizes guest lectures together with the National Committee for National Salvation with carrying the theme “application of Engineering Against Factors – factors that Determine Safety Transportation in Indonesia “. This topic was appointed as guest lecture topic in hopes the student faculty of Engineering University of North Sumatra could understand how the importance of safety in transportation, and to find out what, how and why the accident occurred identify with the basic weakness in the safety systems in order to prevent the occurrence of similar accidents at a later date as well as improving the transport priority berstandard. In this time the guest lectures, the Faculty of Engineering University of North Sumatra presents Mr. Dr. IR. Soerjanto Tjahjono as resource person and he is the Chairman of the Committee of National Salvation Transportas (KNKT).
In this time the guest lectures, Mr. Dr. IR. Soerjanto Tjahjono share experiences he how to identify and prevent the occurrence of accidents as well as provides examples of accidents that have occurred in Indonesia. He also recounts his personal experience in making the boat. Guest lecture participants this time consists of 130 students and 15 professors who are in the Faculty of Engineering University of North Sumatra. The participants were very interested and enthusiastic in listening to the exposure presented Mr. Dr. IR. Soerjanto Tjahjono, is evident from how the participants enthusiastically listening to exposure from him. The event closed with the awarding of the prize to a resource provided by Mr. Dr. IR. M. Sabri, MT,. The HDI as the Chairman of the Department of mechanical engineering faculty of Engineering University of North Sumatra. Guest lectures is one form of the seriousness of the University of North Sumatra to always improve the quality of learning-oriented industry and the world of work, in accordance with the tagline of North Sumatra University i.e. Toward Excellence u.s.
