The Metallurgy Laboratory is one of the laboratories in the Department of Mechanical Engineering FT USU which has a function to support research and learning in the field of metallurgy. This laboratory focuses in the field of metallurgical studies of physical properties and micro-transformations of metals and alloys. Physical metal science practicum which includes Heat Treatment Test, Hardness Test, Hardenability Test, Metallography Test, and Impact Test. This practicum is a form of application of the physical metal science course. Students who take a physical metal science practicum are students who have passed the physical metal science course.

Through this practicum, it is hoped that students can understand and understand the content of the physical metal science lecture material that has been given in class.
